Description

At 160km and over 3300 meters of climbing this is no easy day in the saddle, but take it at your own pace and you will have achieved an incredible tour of Maremma adventuring in to Val d’Orcia and through the thermal spa towns. Be sure to set off early if its forecast hot. Although the route does not take you to the top of M. Amiata you will reach 1,100m and need to conquer four noticeable climbs in the second half, however the gradients are not too brutal averaging 4-9% with longer climbs at the start and end, on peaceful roads (A Bicissimo route package ascending Monte Amiata Tuscanys second highest peak at 1,738m Roccalbegna is available separately or part of the Locanda La Pietra grouped products).
