Description

This loop ride to Rolle takes you through the lush green tiered vinyards which typify the Prosecco region and also feature in the Prosecco challenge event, weaving through the many cantine and producers of Italy’s notorious aperativo. Optional coffee stops or lunch are suggested for a relaxing recovery style ride or you may wish to treat yourself to stunning views of the territory from an elevated position. Monte Cimon stands at 1,438m and is an inspiring climb that the Prosecco challenge does not feature. The road up is a remote, narrow winding lane free of significant traffic and mostly tree-covered until the final kilometres. The views of the Prosecco hills and plains of Veneto below are well worth the effort. The descent is a little tight so it is best to avoid any risks. Once at the bottom you are immediately in Valdobbiadene where you may be tempted to grab an early aperitivo to toast to your achievement or grab an early night before the next days adventuring.
